Croyde and Saunton sit at the end of the surf coast, about ten miles from Barnstaple through Braunton and out along the B3231. It is a short journey on paper, but the last few miles are narrow coast road, and in summer they set the pace for everything else.
We collect from Croyde village and the bay, the holiday parks, Saunton Sands, the hotel and the golf club, and inland at Georgeham. Most of this work is holiday travel in one direction or the other: arriving from the station with a week's luggage, or getting a group back from an evening out without anyone having to drive.

The coast road and summer parking
From Braunton the B3231 runs along the edge of Braunton Burrows, climbs above Saunton Sands and drops into Croyde. On a hot weekend it queues in both directions, and the car parks at the beach fill early. Being dropped at the sand and collected later is often quicker than driving, and nobody spends the afternoon watching the parking meter.
If you are travelling at a peak time, give us a little longer than the map suggests. We would rather be early at Croyde than stuck behind a caravan on the hill above Saunton with your train leaving.
Holiday parks, cottages and arrival day
Croyde has no station, so a lot of holidays here start with a train into Barnstaple and a taxi out to the coast. Give us the train time and the accommodation name and the car will be at the platform when you arrive.
Holiday parks and cottage lanes around Croyde can be hard to find after dark. Tell us the park, the lodge or cottage name and any gate code when you book, and the driver will come to the right door rather than the reception that closed at six.
Golf, weddings and evenings out
Saunton Golf Club and the hotel above the beach bring a steady run of golfers, wedding guests and diners who would rather not drive home. Golf bags fit, but tell us how many players and bags you have so we send a vehicle with the space.
For wedding parties and evening events, booking the return at the same time as the outward run is worth doing. Late taxis out of Croyde and Saunton are in short supply on a summer Saturday, and a booked car is a guaranteed one.
